JACLO Shower Heads Available at Santa Fe By Design

Featured News - WERS in effect March 1

Recently, Santa Fe By Design staff attended the informational meeting held by the Santa Fe Area Home Builders Association (SFAHBA) to address the impact that the new Water Efficiency Rating Score (WERS) will have on the Santa Fe building industry.

At Santa Fe By Design, we've identified several products, brands, and companies that are already offering products suitable for our partners to meet code when WERS goes into effect on March 1st. For example, the JACLO shower heads shown above are stylishly thin & modern shower heads come in many finishes, are round or square, 6" / 8" / 10" sizes, and can be ordered with gallons per minute (GPM) flow rates of 2.5 / 2.0 / 1.75 / and 1.5 GPM.

We are currently working diligently with our vendors to identify even more. We encourage our partners and others in the industry to reach out to us directly with any questions and or help we might offer as this takes place. We will be attending more meetings and have already made connections with the WERS specialists at City of Santa Fe and we'll continue to report more information as things progress.

About WERS:

It's not news that New Mexico is in a drought. In order to address this problem, the Green Builder® Coalition, in cooperation with Build Green New Mexico (BGNM), Santa Fe Area Home Builders Association (SFAHBA), and members of the City of Santa Fe Water Conservation Committee (SFWCC) developed a rating system called WERS. WERS, or The Water Efficiency Rating Score, is a tool used to predict water use for new and existing properties. By using WERS, homeowners can help conserve water for the future.
